Junior Cadet
Social Skills for early Primary aged children with ASD/ADHD

Junior Cadet Group Social Skills Program is aimed at Young School-aged children who lack the basic social skills to manage social and friendship situations.  Junior Cadet utilises much of the Secret Agent Society (SAS) Program content but focuses on more of the basic skills such as personal space, sitting still, listening, etc.  The SAS exciting games and activities that help improve the social skills and emotional understanding work well with this age group.

This flexible program helps professionals improve children's emotional understanding and social skills by teaching them:

  • How to recognise simple and complex emotions in themselves and others.

  • Improve eye contact and listening skills.

  • How to recognise simple and complex emotions in themselves and others. 

  • How to express feelings in appropriate ways.

  • How to cope with feelings of anger and anxiety.

  • How to start, continue and end conversations and play activities with others.

  • How to tell the difference between friendly joking and mean teasing.

  • How to manage bullying.

  • How to cope with making mistakes.

  • How to handle new situations and ask for help when needed.

  • How to make friends.

Secret Agent Society
Social Skills for children with ASD/ADHD

The Secret Agent Society (SAS) Program uses exciting games and activities to improve the social skills and emotional understanding of 8 to 12 year olds with High-Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), including Asperger Syndrome.

This flexible program helps professionals improve children's emotional understanding and social skills by teaching them:

  • How to recognise simple and complex emotions in themselves and others.

  • How to express feelings in appropriate ways.

  • How to cope with feelings of anger and anxiety.

  • How to start, continue and end conversations and play activities with others.

  • How to tell the difference between friendly joking and mean teasing.

  • How to manage bullying.

Asperteens
Social Skills & Social Group for Teens with ASD/ADHD

Asperteens is a 14 week social skills intervention and social group for motivated teens in secondary school who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. During each group session teens are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills in session during socialisation activities, immediately afterward during a social get-together and again after the group.

Parents attend separate sessions whilst the teens socialise and are taught how to assist their teens in making and keeping friends by helping to expand their teen’s social network and providing feedback through coaching during weekly socialisation home assignments.

Take Action Anxiety Management
7-12 Year Old Group

Take Action runs for 10 sessions every Term of the School Year.

Take Action involves
* 10 weekly child 90 minute sessions

LEGO(R) Based Therapy Group
8-12 Year Olds

This group runs on a 10 weekly session basis across each school term. 

​

The group focusses on developing social communication and social skills in a fun environment. Group participants work in teams of three to build items as the engineer, supplier and creator. They also get to do a creative build that follows a different theme each week, and which they present to the group

​

PALS Social Skills for 3-5 Year Old Children

PALS runs for in a workshop format for school readiness twice a year. We are taking names for the next round of this innovative Australian Themed Social Skills program for pre-Primary aged children.

Bro Code runs for fortnightly sessions across the School Year.

This group focusses on developing social skills and socialisation amongst older teens. There are four sessions at the Clinic and a fifth session that is a social event each term.
